The primary function of the Highway Division is to provide safe and convenient mobility to the traveling public by efficiently managing the infrastructure of the county road and bridge system. The Construction & Engineering staff provides expertise in the areas of planning, design, and construction of the County highway system. The primary duties of the Road Maintenance Staff include year round maintenance of the County highway system and equipment.
Goodhue County was well represented at the 2018 Washington Fly-In, and event hosted by the MN Transportation Alliance. Commissioner Brad Anderson, Public Works Director Greg Isakson, and Legislative Liaison Robby Robinson met with Minnesota's representatives in Washington to discuss transportation funding needs in Goodhue County and the State of Minnesota.
