Workplace Wellness

A well-designed workplace wellness initiative can provide a positive influence on health behaviors and have a positive impact on employer financial measures like healthcare utilization, worker productivity and employee turnover. Our goal is to help workplaces design a comprehensive wellness program that will increase physical activity and healthful eating, reduce use of tobacco products, support nursing mothers and support stress management.

Partnership Opportunities for Workplace Wellness:
• Healthy Eating – increase healthy options by addressing vending, healthy snack station, catering and/or cafeteria food
• Breastfeeding Support – accommodate and support nursing mothers
• Active Living – increase access to facilities and opportunities for physical activity and active transportation
• Tobacco-free Living – includes grounds and vehicles, and cessation support
• Stress Management – activities that address stress from a policy, systems and environment perspective; an optional strategy after healthy eating and active living strategy work has been completed
