Dive/Rescue Team

The Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office Dive/Rescue Team is made up of six divers and seven tenders. The main purpose of the team is for searching for stolen property, weapons, automobiles, and drowning victims. The Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office has law enforcement responsibility for all waterways within Goodhue County. This makes the Sheriff's Dive Team responsible for all rescue and recovery operations county-wide. The dive team also assists neighboring jurisdictions in both Minnesota and Wisconsin with underwater recovery operations. Dive Team members receive specialized training in ice, deep water, salvage/wreck, and rescue/first aid diving operations. The goal of the Dive Team is to locate persons and property in area lakes and rivers in a timely fashion and in the safest method possible.
