The Human Resources department was created by Board resolution at the beginning of 2002. The department consists of the Human Resource Director, the Personnel Technician and the Human Resource Analyst.
The mission of the Human Resource Department is to be responsible for the overall development, implementation and administration of human resources and employee relation functions to attract and retain an efficient service and to stand unified as a team, by communicating and supporting each other. We will maintain the philosophy to remain nonjudgmental, confident and professional in all areas within the department.
The Human Resource department functions as a resource for employees to assist with benefit questions as well as calculating bi-weekly payroll. The department is also the primary lead with labor negotiations and assisting in the resolution of contract disputes with the Director as the liaison between the union officials and the Board of Commissioners. The Human Resource department maintains the primary role in administering the workers’ compensation program and resolving unemployment compensation disputes.
